This book deals with the meaning of friendship. Friendship is necessary as a cure for loneliness, for human development, synergy, and for making people feel that others care for them in our fast moving world, we are likely to fail to notice one another and yet in us there is that need to be loved, to matter. There are people we meet in life who show much interest in us. At a time of need we realise that some of those people showed much interest because of what they’re gaining from us not because of that they cared for us. That makes us feel exploited. How then can we distinguish true friends from other exporters? Alternatively, how can we love genuinely? Like any valuable thing in life, friendship is expensive.
